Benedictine Day

We will be joining St Nicholas Priory for their Benedictine Day!

Come see us on Saturday and Sunday 19th and 20th March, for a handling session and display of monastic medicine.

Benedictine Day at the priory is dedicated to the building’s monastic period, spanning from Norman to Tudor times. From the founding of the priory to its dissolution, we will explore the lives of the monks at the priory, from their daily routine to their place in the life of the city of Exeter.

The day will also be the launch of the new exhibition and new interpretation of the building, a project undertaken together with the University of Exeter’s Head of Research in Humanities, Prof. James Clark, and dedicated PhD student interns, who are part-funded by the university.
